Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #83

Good morning all!  Happy Sunday and Halloween.  I hope you're all ready for your own fun Halloween night!  I think it's great that the clocks won't be move back until next weekend giving the kids a little more daylight to trick or treat in.  : )  But today is also bringing us challenge #83 from Cupcake Inspiration.  Here's my take on this week's cupcake...

How's that for some autumn color??  haha!  Actually I'm a huge 'earth color' person so I'm just lovin' these!!  : )  Hope you do to!  Now... the inspiration for ttoday...

Isn't that just beautiful???  How could anyone ever eat that?  heehee!  OK... truth be told, I could eat it!!  Again, love the color scheme so that's what I worked into my DT card as well as picking up on the leaves.

These stamps are from a set called Autumn Abundance and were purchased from PTI a couple of years ago.  It's a wonderful set with three vase arrangements and about either sentiments.  I haven't used it as much as I should, but it sure fit in great today.  The DP is actually taken from Graphic 45's new Christmas collection called Christmas Past.  : )

Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Woodware and their giving away a stamp set called Sweet Tooth as their prize.  That's a $15 value and so cute!!  Hope you can play along with us this week!!

Kicking off Christmas cards with LOTV

I've officially started my Christmas cards for 2010.  Yikes... it's almost November and I'm just now starting.  Oh well... there will be many challenges coming over the next few weeks that will help me out!  : )  I've started this season out using and aDORable  Lili of the Valley stamp called Skating Along.

Dontcha just LOVE her and her little dog too??  I'm just gaga over all the new Christmas stamps from LOTV!   And now they are about to have another wonderful release!  I can't wait!

The layout for this card was from an LOTV challenge from a few weeks ago.  I must say, I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out..  I glittered her up pretty good, sponged around the entire image and used some crystal stickles on the ice to try to replicate shimmering ice.  For the sentiment, I simply inked up the stamp with the same color I'd sponged on for the sky.  I wanted a subtle result that wouldn't take away from the image.  I was very pleased with the result.  I really enjoyed pulling this one together.

Challenges:
Lili of the Valley - winter fun
Theme Thursday - winter
Southern Girls Challenge - glitter it up
Pals Paper Arts - bring on the bling
7 Kids College Fund - flowers and layers
Wags 'n Whiskers - merry & bright

Well... it's late (for me) and I need to head off to bed.  Thanks for popping in today.  Come back soon, ya hear!!  : )  Take care my friends.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #80

Happy morning friends.  Looks like it's going to be a great day in our area.  I'm looking forward to heading out to my mom's and let the grandkids and dog run around outside!!  Plus, lunch is always great!!  : )  Well, it's Sunday, so we have a new Cupcake Inspiration Challenge for you today.  Here's my card...

This image is called Two Roses and is from this week's sponsor, A Passion for Stamps.  Isn't that image just stunning?  A Passion for Stamps kindly allowed the DT to use one of their images and I just couldn't NOT chose this one!!  I'm a huge fan of roses.  Oh... and the inspiration...

Beautiful, right?  I didn't really do this photo justice as it has other gorgeous colors.  It was really hard to decide which to go with!  I was going to attempt a two-tone rose, but that got away from me!!!  : )  So... simple yellow roses, one of my favorites!!

I sure hope you can join in our challenge this week.  A Passion for Stamps will be giving the random winner four (4) digital images of their choice.  I hope you'll go take a look around their blog.  There are some wonderful flower images and others as well.
